Are you Lead hand Welder/ Supervisor And looking for new Opportunity to Grow?Do you have experience working with steel and aluminum?Are you experienced in leading the 11-12 people in team and achieve the targeted goal?Are you a welder with over 2 years experience looking for a full time, stable job with a quality team?This may be the right fit for you.- – – – – – – – -Our client, a respected provider of speciality machinery, is looking for professional Welders in the Barrie area to ensure safe manipulation of their steel products.Job DescriptionResponsible for the safety, quality, and production of the areas assignedRoutinely meets with the Productions Manager to discuss the department’s work order status and progress to inform any departmental personnel of issues and production problemsAssists with the coordination, directions and assignment of personnel and tasks within the applicable departmentAnswers questions pertaining to work in progress and provides guidance and assistance as necessaryPerforms the supervision of the department’s production activity in the absence of the ManagerMay be responsible for resolving parts/material and assigned interdepartmental production issues and problems, reconciling and processing paperwork, and performing the common tasks of other department personnel.Will be assigned additional continuous improvement projects to be completed in addition to daily activities.Lay out, position, align and fit together parts of metal according to blueprints sketches in preparation for weldingPerform MIG or stick welding of steel assemblies and operates cutting torchEnsure that parts received are of satisfactory quality and that work performed meets production standardsDiscontinue work process to immediately notify supervisor of any/all quality defectsRecord and report work order information and production times as requiredLeave equipment and materials in proper place and order at the end of shiftMust comply with all applicable OSHA, EPA, local regulatory laws, and company safety policiesEnsure all team members comply with all applicable OSHA, EPA, local regulatory laws, and company safety policiesManagement retains the discretion to add or change the duties of this position at any timeOversee Inventory ManagementAccepting and scheduling assembly delivery datesScheduling team members, accepting vacation time, and monitoring employee work hours ,take part in Management meetingsL.P.O.’sMust comply and ensure all team members follow with all applicable OHSA, ESA and other provincial regulatory laws, as well as company safety policiesAny other duties as assigned by the Director of Operations or Senior Leadership teamQualifications:High school diploma or equivalentMinimum of one years welding experienceExperience with Microsoft Office and GmailAbility to use basic math, writing, and computer skillsAbility to speak, write, read, and comprehend procedures in EnglishAbility to safely operate various hand and power toolsAbility to work assigned hours plus overtime as neededPhysical Requirements:May stand for prolonged periods, stoop, bend, reach, walk; perform repetitive motions using hands to grasp, push/pull or do fine manipulations.Must have adequate sight to read blueprints, work orders and other engineering and manufacturing documentsMust pass a breathing testAbility to lift light to medium weight up to 50 lbs.ShiftMonday to Friday, Afternoon: 03:00pm – 11:00pmSkillsMUST HAVE OWN: Welding helmet, gloves, security shoesAbility to pass a weld test and facility respiratory requirementsBasic math, writing, and computer skillsAbility to safely operate various hand and power toolsExcellent attention to detailStrong attention to safety and ability to follow written and verbal instructionsStrong team player and reliable, must maintain solid attendancePhysical strength and stamina, able to lift up to 50lbs, repetitive standing / walkingExperience & Education10 years+ experience in MIG/tack/stick weldingExperience reading and interpreting blueprintsSecondary education required
